For sale is a rare Zenith El primero with a telemeter dial. This scale allows the wearer to measure the distance of an event that can be both seen and heard, such as the time it takes for sound to travel from a lightning flash to the observer (thunder), or the distance of artillery fire. By starting the chronograph at the sight of the event and stopping it at the sound, the user can read the corresponding distance on the telemeter scale. This dial is often found in vintage or military-inspired chronograph watches. Complete with box, papers and extra leather strap!
