The ref 14700ST, which preceded the 14790, represents a transitional reference that had a short production span of just one year around 1991. It's estimated that fewer than 500 stainless steel pieces of this watch were ever produced, making it one of the most highly sought-after mid-sized Royal Oaks in the collector's market. This model inherits the genetic heritage from the original Jumbo 5402 boasting design elements like the flat AP font and a petite tapisserie dial. Among all vintage mid-sized Royal Oaks, this reference stands out for its larger appearance, primarily due to its slender bezel design. Notably, the dial is only 1mm smaller than the original Jumbo, leading to its affectionate nickname, the 'mini Jumbo.'
